ABOUTTHEPROJECT
The Health and Psychosocial Support Program – Mental Health Strengthening Project is implemented by the Turkish Red Crescent in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Türkiye, with the support of the German Red Cross and the German Federal Foreign Office. Within the scope of the project, Mental Health Support Units have been established in 12 Community Centers across 11 provinces, providing comprehensive mental health services for both refugees and the local population.
PROJECTAIM
The main goal of the project is to address mental health problems caused by war and forced migration through early interventions and to strengthen the overall psychosocial well-being of the community. Psychiatric assessments, psychotherapy, psychometric testing, referrals, and preventive mental health activities are carried out to ensure better access to services for both refugees and host communities.

Establishment of Mental Health Support Units in 11 provinces
Psychosocial support services for adults, children, and adolescents
Needs assessments through field research and focus group discussions
Training and supervision programs for service providers on trauma and therapy methods
Turkish language courses, psychoeducation, and vocational training at Community Centers
Ongoing data collection and reporting mechanisms in the field of mental health
